KINESOIOLOGY
REMEDIAL MASSAGE

What is Kinesiology?
Kinesiology is a natural therapy that is leading the way in energy medicine. It uses the gentle art of muscle monitoring to access information about a person’s well being. It combines Western techniques and Eastern wisdom to promote physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health.
Originating with research from chiropractor Dr George Goodheart in the 1960’s, it was discovered that muscle testing could be used to gather information from the body.

What is muscle monitoring?
It is the single defining feature of kinesiology, and it determines the integrity of the muscle.
It's often referred to as the neuro-muscular biofeedback and gives instant access to holistic information held by the core operating unit of the entire mind/body system - the innate or unconscious. This normally inaccessible neural substrate holds all our memories, information about physical, emotional, mental and energetic states, and also determines our muscle tension.

How does Kinesiology work?
Blocks or stresses within and around the human body affect functioning of our bio-systems, resulting in changes in energy. Because muscle monitoring  challenges the bio-feedback mechanism present in all muscles, it reveals imbalances within and around the body. The findings may present as physical pain, mental discomfort and the many expressions of dis-ease. These can include allergies, depression, postural problems, poor performance levels, learning and relationship difficulties, digestive and nervous disorders - whatever the presenting problem, the system is saying it is malfunctioning.
The real goal of any Kinesiology ‘balance’ is to identify the bottom-line cause of any imbalance and then assist the body to resolve it.

The word Reiki when translated into western dialect means Universal Life Force Energy or Sacred Energy and is used to describe the actual energy that practitioners work with. This energy is the fuel that drives humans from the inner core, and gives us purpose in life.
Reiki treatments are natural and non-invasive, and often compliment orthodox medicine. It is increasingly accepted in health and community care facilities including hospitals, hospices and cancer support units.

MASSAGE & YOU

All massage therapies can facilitate change and assist the body in its own healing processes, where disease or injury has occurred in muscles, connective tissues, bones, joints and internal organs.

One of the keys to our overall health and well-being is to have regular treatments. In Asian cultures, such as Thailand, regular full body massages by masseurs and masseuses can last up to two hours or more. They are seen as an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. While in Western circles, we've become conditioned to the idea to dealing with chronic aches and pains, and they are part of life. It doesn't have to be that way, so it's time to take initiative and change our way of thinking.

Listed below are just some of the many documented benefits of regular treatments:

  • Relieves pain and tension due to tight muscles

  • Improves range of motion of joints

  • Promotes flexibility and suppleness of muscle

  • Prevents injury

  • Reduces blood pressure

  • Reduces stress

  • Enhances mental alertness

  • Benefits migraine sufferers

  • Eliminates toxins from the body

  • Improves sleeping patterns
